手ぬぐいの上に手描き・ Bible verses and birds on a Tenugui
I drew some Bible verses and birds on a tenugui with a fabric pen. A tenugui is a traditional Japanese thin cotton towel. I made it for my friend. She is soon going to be hospitalized for surgery. I knew from my own experience that hospital rooms are very dry. I couldn't stop coughing because of that. Hanging a wet towel helped me a lot then, so I wanted to give her a tenugui.
A tenugui is a versatile Japanese cotton towel that can be used in many ways. You can fold it into a headband by tying it around your forehead, use it as a handkerchief to wipe your face or hands, or use it as a tea towel to dry dishes. It can also be used to wrap objects, like a gift or bottle, by folding the edges over and tying them.
Its lightweight and practical design make it useful for many everyday tasks.
Tenugui can also be framed and used as artwork. The intricate patterns and vibrant designs often featured on tenugui make them perfect for displaying as decorative pieces in your home.
We're both Christian and know God's word has power. Even though it isn't a life-threatening surgery, the pain after surgery will be almost unbearable. I believe that my friend will be encouraged and find peace in God's words.
