使い始めてかれこれ　30年以上になる食器棚。 取っ手のペンキも剥げて。。。 なので、カインズで新しいのを買ってきて 替えました。 　　 ほんのひと手間で　いい感じになりました。 取っ手を変えるだけの　ちょこっとリメイク、 おススメです！ The cupboard in our kitchen is more than 30 years old now.  We inherited it from my parents when we moved into this house.  The paint on the door handles had peeled off and didn't look good. Therefore, I decided to replace them with new ones. I bought simple white door handles at CAINZ. I asked my husband to take off the screw covers. Then I took off the old door handles and replaced them with new ones. All three door handles took less than five minutes, but the hack was pretty effective. If you have shabby-looking furniture, I recommend changing the door handles. It's easy, fast, and cheap.  

この間、ふと見たら私の机の下の床が傷だらけ。 椅子でこすっちゃってたみたい。 The other day, I noticed there were many scratches on the floor under my chair.  It seemed every time I moved the chair, it scratched the surface of the floor. なので、あまり毛糸で脚カバーを編むことにしました。  Therefore, I decided to make leg covers for my chair.  I have many leftover yarns, so I thought it was a good opportunity to use them.   After I knitted four covers,   100均で別の脚カバーとパッチも買ってきて、 I went to a 100 yen shop and got felt patches and readymade leg covers. まずパッチを貼って、 First, I applied the patches at the bottom of the legs of the chair,  手編みの脚カバーをはかせて、 then handmade covers. 最後に買ってきた脚カバーもはかせたら、 Lastly, I covered them with bought leg covers.  完ぺき！ It seems perfect！  

ずっと前に知り合いの方からいただいた着物、 そのまま着るには柄行がちょっと派手すぎかなぁ。。と 　 ほどいて　スカートに縫い直しました。 絹100％だから　着心地とってもよいです♡ I turned an old kimono into a skirt.  I had taken apart the kimono and made a pair of pants before.  Since the kimono was made of 100 percent silk, it was very comfortable to wear, especially in this extremely hot summer season.  Therefore, I decided to sew the skirt using the leftover kimono fabric.   It was very easy to make.  I just sewed together 4 pieces of fabric and put an elastic band into the waist part.  

日差しが 日いちにちと  強くなってきましたね～ サンルームに  サンサンとふりそそぐ　 熱と紫外線を  なんとか さえぎらねば！(>_<) Since the weather will be hotter and hotter, We definitely needed to block the sunlight from the ceiling of the sunroom. というわけで、 天井（？）に遮熱、UVカットの カーテンを つけます！ まずは 洗濯物干しの ポールをはずして、 My husband had to remove the laundry pole holder first. いつものように、主人が測り、 As usual, my husband did all the measurements  私が　縫います。 ここまでくると、もう職人のように 分業制が 確立されています　（笑） and I did all the sewing. 高等数学を 駆使して 必要な布の分量を 割り出しました　(ﾟ▽ﾟ=) We calculated the needed length of materials by using advanced mathematics. 天井に どうやって カーテンを 取り付けるのか… あーだこーだ 討議を重ねた結果、 短い方の端に 突っ張り棒を通して 突っ張ることにしました。 　　　　　　　　　 After a long discussion, we finally figured out how to attach a curtain on the ceiling. We put two tension rods through each side of the holes 片方を 窓枠にひっかけ、 もう一方を ビッ! と 突っ張ります。 and set them between  the frames. うまくいきました。 完璧です！  ...

このクッション、サイズはいいんだけど、 カバーがちょっとね… というわけで、 I have a good size cushion for a rattan chair,  but its cover  doesn't suit my taste. 主人のシャツを リメイク! （最近、ちょっと横に 成長して キツくなっちゃったらしい😅）  So I made a new one out of my husband's shirt. まずアイロンかけて、 First  ironed the shirt. ボタンが ちょうど真ん中に くるように カバーを シャツの上に 置いて、 1センチぐらい 大きめにカット。 胸ポケットも 気にせず　ジョキジョキ 切ります✂   Then cut a square a little bit bigger than the original cushion cover  making sure that the buttons part comes to the center of the fabric. こんな感じに切れました😉 表と裏の 二枚を 中表に合わせて ぐるりと 待ち針でとめます。 now you should have two equal-sized fabric. It will used for your front and back side.   Then, put the fabric facing each other and pinned them  together.  あとは 端から 1センチぐらいのところを ダーっと縫って、 Sew it  about 1 cm from the edge,  端に ジグザグミシンを かけたら、 Apply zigzag stitches to all the edges ひっくり返して and then turned it inside...

主人の水彩教室も　私の健診のお仕事も 全部キャンセルで、おうち時間がたっぷり😅 そこで、ずっとやりたかった サンルームの改造に着手！  Both my husband and I have plenty of time to spend at home now. So I decided to make the best of it and making over our sunroom,  which we use just as our laundry room.  ただ 洗濯物を干すだけだった サンルーム アマゾンで 木目調のタイルマットを 購入 30×30　9枚セットで　1027円は まぁまぁお手頃  I bought the wood pattern tile carpets from Amazon.  まず　ガラクタ？を全部どけて　お掃除 First, I got rid of all the clutter and cleaned the room. あとはひたすら　マットを敷き詰めます。 プチプチとはまって、結構楽しい💕  Then I laid down the mats on the floor. 端っこを ぴったりのサイズに 切る時は おおざっぱな 私ではなく 几帳面な 主人の出番！ いい仕事してくれました😆  I'm not good at measuring and cutting something precisely,  so my husband dealt with all the edges. 全部 敷きつめたら ちゃんとした お部屋っぽくなった😊 It turned out pretty good.  The wood pattern made it look like a real room.   主人の実家に 60年ぐらい前からあったという 年代物の 籐のテーブルと椅子を 置いてみたら なんか いい感じに♡ ...
